Toolkit 2: Character Design- Breaking Down The Dynamic of The Two Characters
After Justin's feedback, I decided to go away and adapt the female character so that she could move in a way that would compliment the sturdiness of the male shark. For this I looked at Betta fish as a breed to base the character on. The fish itself has very long intricate fins and tail, perfect for replicating the flowing movement of both the dress and actresses of the 1950's era. I also developed the male character more, by listening to Justin's advice and making sure that the fins of the shark were still able to bend and move like arms would within the musicals, along with this, his top fin later became his hair, emulating that 'Grease' hairstyle.
